CBW provides a range of services to child victims of natural and man-made disasters through several programs. Services meet the educational, recreational, and sanitation and housing needs of refugee children and youth.

HIV/AIDS - current project
The HIV/ AIDS programme works to educate the population of Buduburam camp about HIV/ AIDS, STDs and teenage pregnancy and offers care and support to those living with HIV/ AIDS. International volunteers assist local volunteers with all of their activities. Specifically, there is scope for them to: Teach HIV/ AIDS education in schools. assist with small discussion groups on HIV / AIDS with community members and organize awareness workshops, visit HIV/ AIDS sufferers and offer counselling and care, help run the drama club outreach programme, and create resources to support the work of the HIV/ AIDS programme specifically tackling the problem of stigma.

Poultry - previous project
The poultry programme was started as an income generating project with a donation from a previous volunteer in 2006. It aims to raise funds (by selling eggs and roosters for meat) for the care and support activities of the HIV/ AIDS team, to allow them to provide material support for as many patients as possible. International volunteers assist local volunteers in meeting the daily needs of the chickens (feeding, fetching water, administering vaccines, etc), cleaning chicken rooms, laying chicken beds and transferring them between rooms, collecting chicken vaccines from Accra.

Education - current project
The education programme incorporates a pre-primary, lower primary and upper primary school, targetting refugee children who are unable to afford the more expensive schools in Buduburam camp. Teaching is also used as a means of addressing issues such as health, hygiene and nutrition through schemes such as the school nurse, the hand-washing programme and food and water programme. International volunteers will be attached to a permanent member of the teaching staff to assist them with lessons, behaviour management, assessment; administrative work. They may also tutor individual students who require extra support and run after-school clubs or other extracurricular groups. Volunteers are encouraged to create resources, plan lessons and develop new methods to improve teaching and learning. For qualified teachers there is room to have greater independence in planning and delivering lessons, design classroom management strategies, and prepare and run workshops to provide further training and development for teaching staff.

Community Library - current project
There is a well stocked CBW community library on camp, which is accessible during the day. In addition to this, the library is used for storytime and craft day, each of which is run by international volunteers twice a week. Storytime consists of read aloud to those children who cannot read and to read individually with those who can. Craft day allows children to be creative with art supplies CBW offers.

Microloan - previous project
This is an income generating project for economically and socially vulnerable refugee women, that sets out to provide the means and training necessary to be self sufficient. It combines conditional small loans with business and leadership training and a mentorship programme. Fourteen women benefitting from the scheme in 2007. International volunteers help to plan and deliver the regular two monthly workshops, accompany the program manager on visitations to monitor the progress of the microloan beneficiaries, help with administrative duties such as keeping account of repayments or assisting with contracts, and assist with funding proposals to expand the scheme to benefit more women.

Water and Sanitation (WATSAN) - previous project
The water and sanitation programme aims to improve sanitation on camp and spread awareness of issues relating to health and hygiene, in order to reduce disease. It was the first CBW project to be set up on camp, ultimately with the intention of community members taking responsibility for this. International volunteers assist the WATSAN team with the cleaning and maintenance of drains, spraying of homes with insecticide and germicide to prevent the spread of disease, emptying community garbage bins donated by CBW, and joining in on and creating resources for discussion groups with community members, which aim to promote knowledge of issues relating to health and sanitation.

Technical - current project
The technical team is responsible for maintaining all CBW buildings and infrastructure, as well as facilitating expansion through construction. The activities of the technical team depend on what CBW requires, but examples include construction of buildings, building of fences (e.g. on school grounds, community football field), and carpentry. International volunteers are able to offer manual labour and may also be asked to help with project budgeting.
> Technical Programme

Recreation - current project
The recreation team aims to promote sporting activities on camp as a means of building community relations, both within camp, and with other Liberian and Ghanaian groups. International volunteers attend training sessions, teach Physical Education lessons in CBW schools, help to organise sporting tournaments for three CBW football teams, and help to organize recreational activities for CBW staff and volunteers. The recreation programme also aims to promote sporting activities amongst children and women in the future, for example by organising a children's football team and a women's kick-ball team.
